 Growing up in a house my father built on the grounds of a pre-Revolutionary War era farm known as Sir Isaac Newton Farm in Newfane, Vermont, I was practically born with tools in my hands. The original farmhouse was built in 1740, and needed a lot of upkeep. It would have been a great candidate for This Old House, alas, Bob Vila never appeared. From a young age,  I learned how to repair and maintain structures, vehicles, and farm equipment, helping my father and grandfather. While at MIT I was a house manager in our fraternity, responsible for minor repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of our two multistory brownstone buildings. The last three decades I’ve been performing basic home repair and maintenance for my own homes in California and for the last two decades, Pittsford, while helping my aging father maintain Sir Isaac Newton Farm. My work has included upgrades to flooring, drywall, vanities, lighting, and painting; and more daily tasks like leaky faucets, minor electrical repair, and furniture assembly.Take a look at the gallery for some examples.
